Serving Our Community Since 1959

The ownership changed but our legacy continues. We are proud to inherit this legacy, the spirit of Oak Cliff, and the opportunity to serve the residents of this beautiful and vibrant community. The practice may have been here for generations, originally established in 1959 as the first dental practice in Oak Cliff, Dallas area, but our setup and equipment is now state of the art, it is modern, comfortable, and beautiful. With that comes the latest techniques and skill set brought by Dr. Moniza Munawar, a graduate of NYU College of Dentistry, with vast local and international experience.

At Oak Cliff Dental Center, we’re proud of our practice’s long history; we are proud of its legacy and service to the Oak Cliff community and look forward to serving patients for many years to come. Dr. Dennis Lindsey started his dental career in Dallas in the early 1950s. He came (to Dallas) after serving his country in World War II and the completion of his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry.

In 1959, the esteemed Dr. Dennis L. Lindsey opened a Dental Practice at 218 W 10th Street, Oak Cliff, in Dallas, TX-75208, a short distance from its present location. Dr. Lindsey had previously worked as an instructor of oral surgery at Baylor College of Dentistry, and it didn’t take him long to establish a devoted patient base who respected his commitment to excellence, quality, and individual treatment.

Name of his Dental Center at Oak Cliff Changed After Dr. Lindsey’s Retirement

As he neared retirement, Dr. Lindsey sold his dental practice to Dr. Joseph Parsons. Dr. Parsons decided to change the brand name to reflect his personal name.  The name remained until Dr. Parsons sold the dental practice to Dr. Angela Jones in 2004. She chose to change the name back to Oak Cliff Dental Center to reflect its long history in the community. That name remains to this day. Oak Cliff Dental Center Today The practice was acquired by Dr. Moniza Munawar DDS who has also chosen to retain the original name. Dr. Munawar is a graduate of New York University, she brings 15 years and more of international and national experience before deciding to acquire Oak Cliff Dental Center and continue its long and proud heritage in the community that it serves.
